Reserved Seating, Mapped to Your Hall

Build the chart once, reuse it for every concert in the hall, and control exactly which seats go on sale.

  • Seat maps you build once

Draw the chart for a hall once, then pick it from a dropdown for every concert you programme there.

  • Donor holds & accessible zones

Hold seats back for donors, board members and press, then release them when the gift list settles. Accessible zones are marked on the plan itself.

  • Priced by section

Stalls, circle and balcony priced separately, with student and senior rates on the same chart.

Box Office Ticketing for the Window and the Door

Walk-ups, will-call, comps and scanning from one screen, on the same live inventory as online.

  • Look up any order by name or email, then reprint or resend it.
  • Scan from a phone or tablet, with live entry counts. No hardware.
  • A Box Office API, so orders and entry data reach your other systems.
  • Staff roles, so a volunteer usher can scan tickets and see nothing else.

Built for How Orchestras and Opera Companies Work

Hall, box office and everything between — for the whole season, not just the sale.

  • Email your audience

Message everyone holding a ticket to a concert — a programme change, a soloist substitution, a parking note.

  • Donor & subscriber presales

Open a concert to donors and long-standing attenders before the public on-sale, which is where the best seats should go.

  • Dynamic pricing

Let price move with demand across a season, instead of setting one number at programme launch.

  • Guest checkout

Buyers check out without creating an account or remembering a password.

  • Comps & attendee lists

Add comps for press, players' guests and sponsors by hand, and see the full attendee list for every concert.

  • Grant compatible

Attendance, reach and participation records in the shape funders and boards ask for.

Donations Collected at Checkout

Invite a gift inside the checkout people are already completing, reported with your ticket sales.

  • A gift can be added to any concert, or given on its own.
  • Standalone gifts from people not buying a ticket.
  • Donation totals in the same reports as ticket sales.

Reported with your ticket sales

From First Impression to Door Scan

Most ticketing reports begin at checkout and end at the sale. Yours covers the whole arc — what drove demand, what sold, and who actually turned up.

  • See what drives demand — impressions, clicks, saves and engagement before the sale.
  • Track sales as they happen — tickets, revenue, occupancy, promo codes and campaign performance.
  • Measure real attendance — check-ins and door scans, not just tickets issued.
  • Understand your audience — where they come from, how they grow and what brings them back.
  • Export it for your board and funders, alongside fees, refunds and payout activity.

Support From People Who Know the Arts

  • Real-person help

Real people who know what a season, a run and a grant deadline are.

  • Guided onboarding

We walk your team through setup and your first concert.

  • Ongoing assistance

Help through the season, not just the first week.

  • Resource library

Asset specs, the media kit and grant-cycle guidance, published rather than requested.

Classical & Opera Ticketing FAQ

What does an orchestra pay per ticket?

A flat 99¢ per paid ticket plus standard card processing. There's no percentage fee, and free community concerts carry no ticket fee.

Does a premium stalls seat cost more in fees?

No. The fee is 99¢ whether the seat is $25 or $250, which matters most on the gala nights that carry the season.

Can we trial this for one concert?

Yes. Start Free includes three months of discovery and up to 20 event uploads, so a single concert is enough to judge it.

Can we reuse our hall's seating chart every season?

Yes. Build the chart once and select it from a dropdown for each concert, rather than rebuilding it per date.

Can donors get first choice of seats?

Yes. Hold seats off sale and open a presale window to donors and long-standing attenders before the public on-sale.

Does CultureOwl handle opera with multiple casts?

Yes. Each performance is its own date on one production, so buyers choose the night and cast they want.

Can we price stalls and balcony differently?

Yes. Each section carries its own price, with student and senior rates sitting on the same chart.

Who approves a refund if a soloist cancels?

Your team does. Requests arrive in your dashboard and you approve or decline each one. Buyers can ask up to 7 days before the concert; that cutoff is set by CultureOwl.

Can audiences give while buying a ticket?

Yes. Add an optional gift at checkout, and people can also give without buying. Totals appear in your reports alongside ticket sales.

Where do classical concerts get promoted?

On the Music genre page, genre banners, featured concert and homepage placements, season announcements, and Cultural News stories and guides.

Does reaching new listeners cost extra?

Placement across CultureOwl's discovery pages and editorial is included with membership. Extra paid campaigns are optional.

Is the audience here actually interested in classical?

People browse CultureOwl by art form, so a concert reaches people choosing classical and music rather than a general events list.

Can we move across between seasons?

Yes. Many organizations announce the next season on CultureOwl while the current one finishes elsewhere. Our team helps with setup.

Does CultureOwl replace our patron database?

No. CultureOwl covers ticketing, box office and discovery. A patron CRM or fundraising suite stays where it is.
