The Artist Spotlight Shines on Melissa Bibliowicz

The very talented Melissa Bibliowicz is a student of New World School of the Arts, the 4 year conservatory program with 4 different divisions: Theatre, Dance, Music, and Visual Arts. When choosing a college, everyone looks for the most popular, well-known schools they can highlight on a resume in the future. In Melissa’s case, she was looking for a program that would give her the training she required to mold her into the best performer she could possibly be. New World did that for her. “I would not trade these past four years for anything,” says Melissa. “I have built friendships that will last a lifetime and a future that is unstoppable. New World School of the Arts creates professional performers ready and hungry to work.”

Melissa experienced the unique oportunity to perform in numerous mainstage shows, as well as studio shows, including: Into the Woods (Rapunzel), Company (Marta), Rock 'N' Roll (Magda), A Little Night Music (Charlotte), The Wild Party (Ensemble), and The Birds (Meton/Nightingale). With every show came new experiences and lessons for Melissa to learn. What’s up next for Melissa? “I am pleased to say that I will be portraying the [leading] role of Eva Peron in New World School of the Arts' Evita, at the Colony Theatre on Lincoln Road in South Beach,” she says. “It will be an incredible show with amazing music and a captivating story. You do not want to miss out!”

As her 4 year experience at New World winds down, Melissa says with great confidence, “Without New World, I would not be the performer I am today. Every semester has been challenging, rigorous, and stressful, but in the best of ways. It has taught me how to deal with my anxiety in a calm manner, as well as how to be the best ensemble member I can be. I feel like I am equipped with everything I need to take on the real world.”
