Jose Elias lights up Key West each season with his unique blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms. This year he returns with an installment of the popular Afro Roots Festival, which Elias has produced for over twenty years. One of Miami’s longest running music festivals, Afro Roots was recently acknowledged by the Miami New Times as one of South Florida’s Ten Best Music Festivals.
Jose Elias is a Grammy-nominated guitarist and Cuban Tres player. Over the span of 28 years, he has performed in five continents and produced a variety of musical projects, from festivals to studio recordings. His career is highlighted by his work with Conjunto Progreso noted by many as the “Buena Vista Social Club of the U.S.A”.
Doors and bar open 1 hour before show time. Must show proof of vaccination or negative Covid test and ID to attend, as it is indoors.
