On Sunday, August 10th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., join us for the next Conservation workshop “Uncovering The Diamonds of Biscayne Bay.”
Join us as we uncover the mystery of the diamonds of our coastal marshes, the mangrove diamondback terrapin. Learn about the natural life history, perils, and conservation status and efforts to help sustain this elusive but inquisitive estuarine turtle. In the first of its kind study Deering Estate’s Learning and Conservation team will teach you how special devices can save this species in Biscayne Bay.
The workshops are held at the Visitor Center Exhibit Room.
