Mike Ward served in the US Navy aboard the Auxiliary Submarine Rescue Ship USS Sunbird ASR 15 for two years during the 1970s. He became a PADI scuba instructor and later returned to the Navy as part of the Navy Experimental Diving Unit in Panama City Beach, Florida. He has served for many years in support of all US Navy, Marine Corp and Military diving program. In 1997, he went to work for Kirby Morgan full time and in 2001, he became a part of Dive Lab Inc., which helps to manage diving equipment and safety all around the world.

In this presentation, Mike will take us through the history of Dive Lab, its mission, the testing and research development it takes part in, as well as Dive Lab’s contributions to commercial, military, scientific, and recreational diving.

Immerse Yourself presentations are held on the third Wednesday of the month and are offered free of charge. The History of Diving Museum offers extended hours on Immerse Yourself nights, with the last admission ticket into the exhibits available at 6:45 PM.
