Homeschool Day: Printmaking Workshop

You’re invited to step into the fantastical world of artist, master printmaker and architect Jules Andre' Smith at the Art & History Museums in Maitland. Become inspired on a mini tour of our historic grounds originally built as an artist colony nearly 100 years ago! After our tour and in the “en plein air” (open air) of our garden, you’ll learn about the fine art of printmaking. You’ll discover the tools to create a relief print, and then experience printmaking through a guided printmaking lesson. Young printmaker apprentices will have the opportunity to make a plate, ink a plate and then pull a print!
