Curtains Up! 2027

The Winter Park Playhouse will host its annual fundraising gala Curtains Up! 2023 on Saturday February 27, 2027. The popular event will take place at The Playhouse with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting the non-profit's professional musical theatre programming on its Mainstage and the free programming out in the community at large.

The evening will include an open bar, catered light bites, a live auction, and acspecial one-of-a-kind show featuring a cast of over 20 of the area's top professional actors and musicians, all of whom will be donating their time and talent.

The Winter Park Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and one of few professional theatres exclusively dedicated to musical theatre and musical programming. Its year-round programming on the Mainstage boasts a series of six professional productions of Off-Broadway and small cast Broadway shows. The Playhouse also produces a monthly Spotlight Cabaret Series featuring a professional performer and accompanist mid week in its beautiful lobby bar area. The theater hosts the annual Florida Festival of New Musicals supporting new musical theatre work. Additionally, The Playhouse presents quarterly One-Night-Only performances headlining a nationally popular performing group.

Along with the events at the theatre itself, the mission based non-profit brings fully funded free arts programming to both the underserved children at Title l elementary schools in the area and the facility-bound and economically disadvantaged senior citizen population in our community.
