BLANCO TEMBLOR — VI FIAE

FLORIDA PREMIERE. Open Scene brings Teatro Público de Puerto Rico’s Blanco Temblor to Florida for the first time as the production begins its national tour.

Blanco Temblor enters the lived territory of bipolar disorder: psychiatric hospitals, medication, stigma, prejudice, relationships, aging and the fragile boundaries between life and death. Rather than reducing mental health to a diagnosis, the play asks what it means to continue living, loving and insisting on being seen as a whole person.

Selected for Festival Encuentro in Los Angeles and CLATA’s Destinos Festival in Chicago, the production arrives in Florida through Open Scene for one VI FIAE performance, followed by a conversation with the artists.
