For years, “The Michael Andrew Holiday Spectacular” was a beloved Central Florida holiday tradition, dazzling audiences with the glamour and joy of the classic Christmas television variety specials of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. Now, after more than a decade, the celebrated production returns — reimagined for an intimate and elegant evening at Orlando Shakes.

Inspired by the timeless holiday specials of Dean Martin and Andy Williams, “The Michael Andrew Holiday Spectacular” captures the warmth, humor, sophistication and musical magic of a bygone era. Audiences can expect a swanky evening of big band swing, classic holiday standards, heartfelt nostalgia, and the kind of timeless entertainment families grew up watching together each Christmas season.

Backed by Michael Andrew’s acclaimed band, Swingerhead, the show features sparkling arrangements of holiday favorites including “Winter Wonderland,” “White Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Let It Snow,” and Sammy Davis Jr.’s legendary swing version of “Jingle Bells,” along with swanky selections from the Great American Songbook.

The original production, staged from 2004 through 2012, featured more than 40 performers, including The Atomic Big Band, the Park Avenue Dancers, and a rotating lineup of special guests. While this new incarnation embraces a more intimate theatrical experience, audiences can still expect spectacular musical performances, signature humor, and surprise guest appearances throughout the run.

Special guest artists (including a sensational internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and singer) will be announced soon.
