Glocal Piano Festival: The Road to the Busoni Competition — You Are the Jury, Aventura

For one day, Miami becomes a stage of the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition. In official partnership with the historic competition of Bolzano, Italy, the Miami International Piano Festival presents the Glocal Piano Festival: fifteen pianists from around the world, one 30-minute recital each, in two sessions at 12:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

The audience becomes the jury

Instead of a panel of professional judges, the listeners in the hall evaluate the performances and choose the pianist who advances to the 66th Busoni Competition in Bolzano. What they weigh is not only technical accomplishment, but individuality, imagination, musical intelligence and the ability to connect from the stage.

A panorama in a single day

Hearing fifteen emerging artists one after another gives an unusually broad view of contemporary pianism, and the rare chance to hear a major voice before anyone else does. The fifteen pianists will be announced shortly.

Before you book

One festival ticket includes admission to both sessions; tickets are not sold for individual sessions. You don't have to attend both, unless you want to take part in the Audience Jury. Each session runs approximately three hours.
