When uptight British chef Harry is left at the altar, his best friend Yaiza convinces him to escape with her to Gran Canaria. Surrounded by beaches, bold flavors and a charming new community, Harry begins falling in love with the island. Then he meets Iván: handsome, charismatic and, inconveniently, Yaiza’s father.

Directed by Alexis Morante, this sun soaked romantic comedy plays with the conventions of classic ’90s romantic comedies while embracing queer love, relationships with age differences and modern families without making labels the center of the story. The film was shot across Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, using the islands’ landscapes, music and traditions to create its dreamy, modern fairy tale atmosphere. It also screened in the Official Selection Out of Competition at the 2026 Málaga Film Festival. 🏝️
