In this special Artists in Conversation program, acclaimed pianists Nick van Bloss and Albert Cano Smit explore their lifelong relationship with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, offering personal insights into one of history's greatest musical minds.
Through conversation and live performance, they reveal how Bach's extraordinary architecture, expressive depth and spiritual vision continue to shape the way we listen. Blending thoughtful discussion with illuminating musical examples, the evening offers a rare opportunity to experience Bach's genius through the perspective of two of today's most compelling interpreters.
Nick van Bloss's recording of the Goldberg Variations was placed by a BBC programme in the “final four” of all recordings, alongside Schiff, Gould and Perahia. Albert Cano Smit is a longtime artist of the Miami International Piano Festival and a member of its Academy faculty.

About the Miami International Piano Festival
Founded in 1997 by Giselle Brodsky, the Miami International Piano Festival has built its reputation on discovering pianists of extraordinary individuality, through its concerts, its Academy, educational programs in the United States and Italy, recordings and masterclasses. Many artists it presented early have gone on to major international careers.
