An Evening of Poetry with Anis Mojgani & Special Guest Sarah Kay

Some poems are meant to be read. Others are meant to be heard: spoken aloud, carried on breath, and shared in a room full of people leaning in.

Art Farm welcomes Anis Mojgani for one unforgettable evening of poetry. A two-time National Poetry Slam champion who served as Oregon's Poet Laureate, Anis writes poems full of tenderness, humor and hope about love, family, loss and the small wonders of being alive. His books include In the Pockets of Small Gods and The Feather Room.

He's joined by special guest Sarah Kay, his longtime friend and frequent collaborator. Sarah gave the TED talk "If I Should Have a Daughter," which has been viewed by millions around the world, and she founded Project VOICE. Together, Anis and Sarah wrote "When Love Arrives" and have performed across the world. On this night, they bring their words to Serenbe.

On an autumn evening at The Pavilion, surrounded by the fields and forest of Art Farm, it's a night to slow down, listen closely and remember why words matter. Doors open at 7:00 PM; the show begins at 7:30 PM.
