Angelo Fiore is a 10-year honorably discharged veteran of the elite United States Navy diving community. As the founder of the Fiore Service Group, he built an independent company representing some of the largest sporting goods and sporting apparel manufacturers in the world. He has a lifelong connection to the diving and scuba community, and his extensive experience within the industry, combined with his understanding of teamwork under pressure and mission-driven leadership has brought him to be the Director of Diving Operations at Force Blue.
Established in 2016, Force Blue is the only nonprofit organization in the world that retrains and redeploys former Special Operations veterans and military-trained combat divers to work alongside scientists and environmentalists on marine conservation topics. It partners include NOAA, Harbor Branch, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and Ocean Conservancy. Join Angelo Fiore as he takes us through Force Blue’s mission on its tenth anniversary, and how it helps give veterans a new cause.
Exhibits are open early, with the last admission at 6:45 PM. The Immerse Yourself presentation will take place at 7 PM on Wednesday, June 17 at the History of Diving Museum. It will be available both in-person and virtually.
Thank you to this month's Immerse Yourself sponsors: the Newton Family and an anonymous Siebe-Gorman Member.
