Two-Piano Extravaganza: Six Star Pianists, Two Pianos — Season Gala in Aventura

The Miami International Piano Festival opens its 2026–2027 season with an extraordinary celebration of pianistic artistry: six internationally acclaimed pianists, two grand pianos, one unforgettable evening.

Albert Cano Smit, Julien Libeer, Reed Tetzloff, Stephen Beus, Kemal Gekić and Ilya Itin have each appeared with the festival on numerous occasions throughout its 28-year history. As they join one another on stage in ever-changing pairings, each performance reveals the dialogue, virtuosity and expressive power of great collaborative music-making.

Classical Sundays at Five is the festival's Sunday-afternoon recital series at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center: international pianists on Sunday afternoons at 5:00 pm.

Founded in 1997 by Giselle Brodsky, the Miami International Piano Festival has built its reputation on discovering pianists of extraordinary individuality, through its concerts, its Academy, educational programs in the United States and Italy, recordings and masterclasses. Many artists it presented early have gone on to major international careers.
