New World Symphony kicks off a new season of discovery with a series of pay-what-you-wish performances.
Inspired by Beethoven’s Pathetique Sonata and early jazz piano, Anna Clyne’s Stride reimagines familiar musical traditions. Lively and experimental, Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante pairs violin and viola as dual soloists. Beethoven’s brief but mighty quartet carries a serious title but ends with a playful flourish.
