Steve McCulloch is an internationally recognized marine mammal health and welfare specialist with more than fifty years’ experience and service to the zoological, research and conservation communities. As a behaviorist, Steve has a wealth of front-line experience training marine mammals in marine parks, in open ocean environments, and for numerous special projects. Today, with a focus on "Ocean and Human Health", Steve continues to lead NOAA authorized multi-disciplinary dolphin health and environmental risk assessments, population surveys and stranding response.

For the past (8) years researchers have identified and catalogued more than 600 wild dolphins in the Upper Keys, and are beginning to unravel the many questions about their population and behavior to insure that dolphins will always have a future in the vital waters of the Florida Keys.
