Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition

The 2026/2027 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition is underway nationwide. Opera Orlando will host the Florida District competition on November 7th, which features 25 exciting young opera singers who have passed the preliminary round of the competition and hope to advance their careers with a win or an encouragement award in Florida. The winners will move on to the Region competition in Atlanta, where one future opera star will be chosen to proceed to the Semifinals in New York City and have a chance to advance to the Grand Finals competition on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera.
