Junior Carnival is where the future of Carnival shines. Young masqueraders will proudly take to the road in spectacular costumes, dancing to infectious Caribbean rhythms and celebrating the traditions that have been passed from generation to generation.

Presented by TD Bank, Powered by the City of Tamarac and Visit Lauderdale, Junior Carnival brings families and communities together for a vibrant celebration of Caribbean heritage, youth and culture.

Watch the Tamarac Sports Complex come alive as eight or more children’s masquerade bands showcase their creativity and artistry.

Expect an unforgettable display of feathers, beads, brilliant colors and imaginative costume designs as young masqueraders cross the stage and proudly represent their bands. From the youngest participants experiencing Carnival for the first time to seasoned junior masqueraders, every child becomes part of a cultural tradition that continues to thrive in South Florida.

The sounds of Soca, Calypso and Caribbean rhythms will provide the soundtrack as children dance, jump, wave and celebrate before family, friends and Carnival enthusiasts.

Junior Carnival plays an important role in the mission of Miami Broward Carnival because Carnival cannot simply be celebrated—it must also be preserved, taught and passed forward.

Through mas, music and performance, children have an opportunity to connect with Caribbean heritage while learning about creativity, teamwork, craftsmanship and cultural pride.

🥁 ONE DAY — TWO INCREDIBLE CARNIVAL EXPERIENCES

The excitement doesn't stop with Junior Carnival!

Following the celebration of children's mas, the sweet sound of steelpan takes center stage with the Miami Carnival Pan Jamboree, featuring four or more steelbands and an evening of Caribbean music, rhythm and culture.

Together, Junior Carnival and Pan Jamboree transform Saturday, October 3 into a celebration of two essential elements of Carnival—Mas and Pan.

🔥 THE ROAD TO MIAMI CARNIVAL BEGINS WITH OUR YOUTH

Junior Carnival launches an exciting series of Miami Broward Carnival experiences. The celebration continues with Red Road Fete on Friday, October 9, the Official J’Ouvert on Saturday, October 10, and the spectacular Miami Carnival Day Parade & Fete on Sunday, October 11.

For more than four decades, Miami Broward Carnival has provided a stage for Caribbean culture in South Florida. Junior Carnival ensures that the traditions, creativity and spirit behind the celebration continue with the next generation.
