Haitian-born Artist Louiveste La Croix Honors Haitian Heritage Month And Girlfriend Material Rocks Out at Old Town Untapped Come celebrate the merry month at Old Town Untapped on May 3, 2024, with a variety of music, art, and food! Come to Bailey Contemporary Arts Center to meet the featured artist in residence of the month, Louiveste La Croix, who honors his native Haiti during Haitian Heritage Month with compelling and thoughtful artwork, each piece reflecting a nostalgic Afro-centric memory that represents a pure expression of himself. Enjoy a night filled with a live performance from one of South Florida’s finest party bands, Girlfriend Material, and the spinning tunes of a local DJ, gallery exhibitions, local art vendors, and food trucks. Docent led art tours will also be available from 8- 8:45 pm. Old Town Untapped takes place on the first Friday of the month from 6 - 10 pm and is FREE for all ages to attend.
