Event Description
Featuring the Lubben Brothers! Classically trained, the Lubbens (triplets) are equally as comfortable with classical masters as they are in their modern song-writing style, which incorporates folk roots and complex ideas using a unique blend of folk instruments. The evening begins with a Beethoven 250th Anniversary Tribute – his Triple Concerto in C Major – for piano, violin, and cello as simultaneous solo instruments. Forging new ground in Bluegrass style on acoustical instruments – fiddle, five-string banjo, guitar, mandolin, and string bass – the brothers bring a NEW match in a first-time partnership with full orchestra: bluegrass instrumentation and classical style.
