South Florida’s AroundTown Magazine Rebrands to CultureOwl

After a decade of connecting South Florida readers with comprehensive cultural programming and experiences, AroundTown Magazine proudly announces its rebranding as CultureOwl. The first issue under the new name of CultureOwl is the September 2017 Dance issue.
The success of AroundTown Magazine led to the creation of the CultureOwl digital brand in 2016. CultureOwl quickly established itself as an important player in South Florida’s cultured life, offering a customizable interface that keeps track of members’ interests and exposes them to a variety of events of all scopes, including concerts, gallery exhibitions, festivals, theater, and more. Expanding into the digital market also led to CultureOwl releasing a mobile app, allowing users to carry a world of culture in their pocket while on the go.
With much of the content, published in AroundTown Magazine, already integrated into CultureOwl, merging of the two, under the same name – CultureOwl— was a natural step forward for the company.
“Rather than creating an online version of the magazine, we designed a robust digital platform completely from scratch that allows visitors to customize their experiences and view/search events based on their preferences and lifestyle,” says AroundTown Magazine Publisher, Amy Sherit. “Whatever your preference of engagement, portal, app, or good old-fashioned tangible magazine, the CultureOwl brand allows you to #ExperienceCultureYourWay and live a more colorful, artful and creative life.”
The name change won’t affect the publication’s purpose in any way. The CultureOwl team will continue to deliver the comprehensive cultural listings and editorial content that South Florida readers have grown to depend on over the past decade. The company has vowed to continue helping art lovers navigate South Florida’s cultural landscape, without missing a beat.
Readers are encouraged to look for the new CultureOwl title on the cover of the September issue at local bookstores and popular pick-up locations.
