Discover the creative possibilities of woodturning in this immersive 6-week Thursday class designed for intermediate and advanced artists.
From the very first session, you’ll dive into the fundamentals—learning advanced techniques and proper use of tools and equipment for more complex projects. Each week features guided demonstrations that lead into hands-on experimentation, giving you the opportunity to select and develop your own project while receiving personalized coaching throughout the process. As you work, you’ll refine your skills, expand your understanding of woodturning, and gain confidence in creating intricate and polished pieces. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a completed project and the knowledge to continue exploring woodturning independently.
*Please note: Lathes and tools are provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own if available. Some wood is provided; additional wood may be purchased or brought. A face shield is required.
