Event Description
Depart from Deering Estate’s boat basin on a guided wildlife kayaking tour through Biscayne Bay. Paddle quietly across seagrass beds and into a mangrove forest while your guide helps you spot local wildlife above and below the water. Our kayaks offer excellent visibility and an immersive, up-close experience with the natural environment.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable paddling clothing that can get wet, and bring bug spray, snacks, and water. Bugs and mosquitoes are very common, so come prepared. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Cost: $50 per person (members and non-members). Spaces are limited! Ticket price includes general admission to the Estate during regular Estate hours (10AM to 4PM) the same day of your program. Recommended for intermediate paddlers.
For ages 18+ OR 9+ with accompanying adult. For families with children ages 9-17, each child may be registered with a parent or guardian ages 18+. Registration for children ages 9-17 can be done over the phone ONLY, 10AM-4PM daily. Please call 305-235-1668 ext 233. Upon arriving for your event please meet our staff at the Visitor Center.
