Event Description
Kick off your heels, loosen your tie and get ready for an up-close and casual experience with classical music. It's a cabaret-style evening of short movements and dialogue with The Amernet String Quartet, hosted by Broward Center Arts Ambassador Lyn Farmer. The doors will open an hour before the concert, so you can enjoy light fare and bar service while mingling with the musicians. The program itself will be short, with alternating sections of music, conversation and video accompaniment. The Amernet String Quartet has garnered international recognition as one of today’s exceptional string quartets and are Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University in Miami. Their sound has been called “complex” but with an “old world flavor.” Founded in 1992 at The Julliard School, the Quartet’s performance schedule has taken them across the Americas and to Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Don’t miss them up close and personal in our own Abdo New River Room.
