Acclaimed Spanish pianist awarded Premio Nacional de Música, & knighted by King Juan Carlos with the Gold Medal of Fine Arts, Joaquín Achúcarro performed with over 200 orchestras including LA, NY, London and Berlin Philharmonics, and at La Scala, Concertgebouw, Carnegie and Kennedy Center. UNESCO named him "Artist for Peace" recognizing his "extraordinary artistic achievement." His performance of Manuel deFalla's Nights in the Gardens of Spain celebrates its original performance — 100 years ago this month!
