Event Description
We are celebrating the classics with a visually exciting and dynamic artist who appeals to all ages and genres, bringing to the stage the vitality, charisma and energy of a 21st century modern virtuoso! Violinist Gareth Johnson is Artist in Residence at Albany State University and founder of the Sphinx String Quartet; he has appeared as soloist with Pittsburgh, Rochester, Baltimore, Atlanta, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and the Boston Pops among others. Artistic Director/Conductor: Maestro James-Brooks Bruzzese; featured guest conductor is Pablo Mielgo. This concert presents a special "Classical Hits" program including Mozart's Marriage of Figaro Overture as well as symphonic favorites from Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky. Pre-concert informational talk and Wine Tasting at 7:00 pm.
