Summer 2026 Exhibitions at DFAC

Experience a dynamic season of contemporary art at the Dunedin Fine Art Center as five thought-provoking exhibitions explore perception, materiality, identity, community, and the future.

underseers: Jason Lazarus:
Challenges traditional ways of seeing through sculpture, concrete photography, and object-based archives. By withholding conventional imagery, Lazarus invites viewers into a more intimate and reflective engagement with everyday life and memory.

Materiality: Jim Gigurtsis and Mike Cannata:
Brings together emotionally charged oil paintings and expressive ceramic works that celebrate the physical qualities of their mediums. The exhibition explores the intersection of abstraction and representation through rich surfaces, forms, and textures.

Futurology:
Guest judged by John Byrd, features artists imagining what lies ahead—from optimistic visions of tomorrow to cautionary dystopian futures. This juried exhibition highlights the many ways artists respond to a rapidly changing world.

Out of Many, Still Many:
Created in honor of America’s Semiquincentennial, Out of Many, Still Many showcases regional figurative painters whose work celebrates the diverse cultures, identities, and everyday experiences that shape the American story.

Pressing On: Printmaking at DFAC:
Highlights the creativity and collaboration of DFAC’s printmaking community, featuring works by students, faculty, alumni, and instructors who continue to push the possibilities of the medium.
