On Saturday, August 23rd, from 7 to 9 pm, experience a hand-picked selection of Brazilian short films followed by a live performance by the talented duo Rose Max & Ramatis inside the historic Deering Estate Theater. Don’t miss this night of entertainment and cultural enrichment!
Cocktail Reception at 7:00 p.m.
Screening at 7:30 p.m.
Live music by Rose Max & Ramatis at 8:30 p.m.
Cost: $45 (members and non-members). Tickets are available online only through Miami short Film Festival.
Parking & Directions: Free parking is available in the Visitor Center parking lot located on SW 168 Street just west of 72nd Avenue. The event will be held indoors in the Visitor Center Theater.
About the artists: Rose Max & Ramatis
Rose Max & Ramatis is a music duo specializing in the popular Brazilian music styles of samba, bossa nova, and chorinho. Both born in Rio de Janeiro, Rose Max and Ramatis Moraes moved to the U.S. in 1993 and now call Miami Beach home. Rose, a singer and songwriter, comes from a long line of Brazilian music legends and now performs and records music around the world. Ramatis, an acousic guitar player, was born to a family of artists and became a successful songwriter, producer, and arranger. The duo has received various awards for Ramatis’s work as a producer and musician and for Rose’s vocal talents. Through performances and presentations, Rose Max & Ramatis share their passion for Brazilian culture and an appreciation for the mix of traditions that contribute to Brazil’s rich musical history.

The MIAMIsFF is dedicated to promoting the short film genre, showcasing films from 1-20 minutes long. The Festival is international in scope, bringing exposure to the world’s best independent up-and-coming filmmakers. MIAMIsFF’s goal year after year is focused on motivating directors, screenwriters, actors, and producers to make films and share them with fellow film makers and industry professionals. The ultimate goal is to bring exposure to independent up-and-coming filmmakers.
