Discover the creative possibilities of stone carving in this immersive 6-week class designed for artists of all levels.
From the very first session, you’ll dive into foundational carving skills—learning how to choose the right stone, understand form, and work confidently with hand tools such as chisels and hammers. As you progress, you’ll be introduced to advanced options including geometric measuring methods, enlargement and reduction techniques, and select power tools to help refine detail and strengthen your craftsmanship. Each week features guided demonstrations followed by hands-on exploration, giving you the opportunity to develop both essential techniques and your own sculptural voice. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of stone as a medium and the confidence to continue your carving journey long after the session ends.
