Discover the creative possibilities of color in this immersive 6-week Thursday class designed for all skill levels.
From the very first session, you’ll dive into the fundamentals—learning the language of color in a clear, practical way to help you describe, mix, and control your palette. Each week features guided demonstrations that lead into hands-on experimentation, giving you the opportunity to apply color theory and “light logic” to any subject, whether portraiture, still life, or landscape. As you work, you’ll refine your understanding of how light reveals form, improve your mixing and application skills, and gain confidence in creating paintings with greater depth and harmony. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a collection of enhanced works and the tools to continue applying color theory independently.
*Please note: Subject matter is open; students will work from printed photos or digital images on a laptop or iPad during class.
