Discover the creative possibilities of landscape painting in this immersive 6-week Wednesday class designed for intermediate and advanced artists.
From the very first session, you’ll dive into the fundamentals—using your own reference materials to identify and convey the essence of your landscape subjects. Each week features guided demonstrations that lead into hands-on exploration, giving you the opportunity to interpret your scenes with intuition and emotion rather than copying. As you work, you’ll refine your understanding of composition, color, light and shadow, value contrasts, edge control, aerial perspective, and the depiction of sky and water. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a collection of original landscape works and the confidence to continue developing your painting practice independently.
