Event Description

Discover the creative possibilities of film photography in this immersive 6-week Wednesday class open to all skill levels.

From the very first session, you’ll dive into the fundamentals—learning to select and use a film camera, make accurate exposures, and develop black & white film. Each week features guided demonstrations that lead into hands-on experimentation, giving you the opportunity to create proof sheets, contact prints, and traditional gelatin silver photographs using both modern and historic darkroom techniques. As you work, you’ll refine your technical skills, explore the art of tangible imagery, and develop a deeper understanding of the film photography process. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a collection of original prints and the confidence to continue creating in the darkroom independently.

*Please note: All levels welcome.
