Event Description

Discover the Sweet Science of Honey! Join Master Beekeeper Joanna Diamond in the Island Theater for an immersive and engaging honey class. We all enjoy honey—but how much do we really know about it?

In this fascinating session, you’ll learn:
How and why honey bees produce honey
How much honey a single bee makes in its lifetime
How many flowers bees must visit to create just one pound of honey
And much more about the incredible world of bees and honey!
You’ll also get to compare and contrast a variety of honey types during a guided tasting session. Local raw honey will be available for purchase after the class.
