Event Description
When their newborn’s sex is indeterminate due to a disorder of sexual development, Mexico City couple María and Nicolás are plunged into uncertainty. Nicolás favors immediate medical assignment, while María embarks on a journey of research and empathy. Guided by an intersex activist, she reconsiders surgery and embraces a vision of autonomy and identity for their child. As tensions between them rise, the couple must confront societal pressures, parental expectations, and their deepest fears.
