Pompano Beach is excited to bring you its version of NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts at the Blanche Ely House Museum! This month features Betty Padgett, who made history as the first Black female artist to win the South Florida Blues Society's IBC competition in 2021. As a true trailblazer, Betty is a dynamic singer, songwriter, and performer who has spent decades perfecting her craft, blending disco, soul, and blues into notes that earned her major recognition. Throughout her career, Betty has had the privilege of collaborating with music legends like Gwen McRae, Denise LaSalle, and Bobby Bland. Her latest blues album, Ridin' With The Blues, has received immense praise and solidified her place as one of the most soulful voices in the genre.
