Main Street Players (MSP) proudly announces the Hispanic Arts Festival, a vibrant three-week cultural experience taking place from May 2 through May 18, 2025, featuring performances every Friday and Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM at the Main Street Playhouse (6812 Main Street, Miami Lakes, FL).
This event is a heartfelt invitation to the entire City of Miami Lakes and Miami-Dade County to come together and honor the stories, artistry, and cultural impact of Hispanic and Latine communities through theater, music, poetry, and more.
Under the creative direction of multidisciplinary artist Vanessa Elise, the celebration carries the theme:
Our Culture on Stage: Strong, Vibrant, Undeniable — spotlighting the resilience and diversity of Hispanic/Latine identities.
“This festival is about unity and celebrating life and culture through the arts,” said Vanessa Elise. “We’re creating something beautiful, meaningful, and rooted in community. United in Art, Voice, and Passion — this is for everyone.”
Kicking off the Hispanic Arts Festival, MSP proudly presents Unfold: The IMMIGRATION Plays by acclaimed playwright and director Ricky J. Martinez. This powerful collection of three one-act plays unapologetically confronts the complexities of immigration, identity, and systemic injustice within the Miami community. Through bold storytelling and raw emotional truth, Martinez invites audiences into conversations that are urgent, personal, and deeply resonant.
Following this provocative opening, the festival will unfold into a vibrant celebration featuring a dynamic lineup of local artists across multiple disciplines—including theater, music, dance, and events for all ages. Each performance will highlight the strength, diversity, and creativity of South Florida’s Hispanic/Latine communities and beyond.
