Discover the creative possibilities of wheel-thrown pottery in this immersive 6-week Thursday class designed for beginner and intermediate artists.
From the very first session, you’ll dive into the fundamentals—learning step-by-step techniques for wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing to create functional clay objects. Each week features guided demonstrations that lead into hands-on experimentation, giving you the opportunity to make mugs, bowls, plates, and more while refining your control and form. As you work, you’ll develop your confidence, improve your technical skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the pottery wheel as a versatile and expressive medium. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a collection of original functional pieces and the confidence to continue your pottery practice independently.
