The Chopin Foundation’s new season of CHOPIN for ALL is now underway! This beloved free concert series brings world-class pianists to your community with performances of the timeless music of Chopin—and everyone is invited.
Appearing in December is pianist Tim McKay, First Prize winner of the 2025 MTNA Young Artists National Competition. A dedicated performer and student, McKay has been recognized across the United States for his exceptional artistry and has recently represented his university abroad. His talent and rising career make him a welcome addition to this season of CHOPIN for ALL.

About Tim McKay
Tim McKay is an undergraduate piano performance major at Brigham Young University, where he studies with Scott Holden. In 2025, he won First Prize in the MTNA Young Artists National Competition. He has also earned top prizes in several regional contests, including First Place in the UMTA Concerto Competition and Second Place in the Grand Teton Music Festival Scholarship Competition, held at Walk Festival Hall in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
In addition to his competition accolades, McKay performed internationally in 2024 with a BYU touring ensemble at Namhansanseong Hall in Seoul, Korea. His musical journey reflects a commitment to both excellence and exploration.
