Event Description
“Bridges of Sound: Music from the Baroque to the Classical Style”, performed by Libiamo Antiqua Ensemble, a historically informed performance (HIP) group specializing in 17th– and 18th-century repertoire. The ensemble works exclusively from manuscripts, facsimiles, and critical urtext editions for all musical scores. This performance will explore the stylistic evolution and transitions from the early Baroque through the late Baroque, into the Galant style, and toward the early Classical period—highlighting key composers and musical idioms of each era. Each section of the program will be preceded by a brief and informative 4–5-minute talk to contextualize the repertoire and engage the audience.
