Matters of the Inner City, A Solo Exhibition by Charles Humes Jr. Coversation and Celebration

The African Heritage Cultural Art Center’s Amadlozi Gallery presents “Matters of the Inner City,” the first solo exhibition in decades by Miami based artist Charles Humes Jr. The exhibition features a series of mixed-media works exploring the history, culture, and issues of Black diasporic communities in South Florida. The exhibition will be available to view from December 16, 2021 to February 19, 2022. Join us for conversation and celebration with the artist on January 22, 2022, from 3pm to 6pm.

“Matters of the Inner City” is curated by Donnamarie Baptiste for Amadlozi Gallery. A catalog with an essay by Baptiste accompanies the show.
