12:00pm - 3:00pm

Enjoy music from a variety of genres each Sunday afternoon in November at Flamingo Gardens. Bring a lawn chair or comfy blanket and enjoy lunch or snacks available for purchase at the Flamingo Pond Snack Bar and Flamingo Pond Grill, while listening to toe-tapping tunes.

Guests may also enjoy viewing the traveling exhibit Masters of the Night – The True Story of Bats. Often misunderstood as blind, squeaky, creatures who suck blood and get tangled in your hair, this exhibit debunks myths and opens your eyes to the wonderous world of Bats. Learn how gentle bats really are and their many benefits to the environment through lifelike models, multisensory interactive displays, and environmentally realistic settings.

November Sunday Concert Series Performances by:

• November 5: The Girl Choir (GCSF) is the only not-for-profit all-girl choir organization in South Florida. Through music theory classes, regular rehearsals, camps and workshops, they have gained a reputation for delivering professional, thoughtful mainstage concerts and community benefit performances.
Also appearing: Baby B Strings who pride themselves on having an open and forward-thinking attitude about the role of string players. Some of Baby B Strings' past projects, outside of the classical genre, include playing in venues like Miami's legendary rock club Churchill's Pub and working alongside major artists like Shakira at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Usher at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, Maxwell, and Mark O'Connor.

• November 12: Sawgrass Brass Ensemble These five professional brass players hail from all parts of south Florida and have been performing together for the past five years. Their lively programs span the spectrum from Showtunes to pop, jazz to patriotic.

• November 19: Jimmy Lee Hook is a master songwriter, pianist, and singer, having worked with some of the biggest legends in the New York music scene. He will be performing songs by other master songwriters such as Billy Joel, Elton John, James Taylor, and others....as well as a few of his own.

• November 26: Glyn Dryhurst Dixieland Jazz Band has been described as South Florida’s leading band dedicated to the genre of Traditional or Dixieland Jazz – the style of jazz developed and performed by early New Orleans jazz musicians. Not often heard today, a handful of dedicated bands keep the music alive.
