Flamingo Gardens is looking for your best “Macro Photographs” to be featured in a Gallery Exhibition from February 3 – 25, 2024. Selected photo finalists may be featured on Flamingo Gardens’ website, social media and may also be published in items for sale in the Gift Shop. There is no fee to enter, and each participant may submit up to three (3) entries.

Macro photography is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects and plants, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. All photos should be taken at Flamingo Gardens.

Selected finalists will compete in a juried exhibit. They and their guests will be invited to an awards reception on Friday, February 23, and will be given two complimentary passes to Flamingo Gardens to be used on another date. Awards will be presented for the following: Best of Show $150, First Place $100, Second Place $75, Third Place $50, up to five (5) Judge’s Recognition Awards, $25 each and new this year – a People’s Choice Award of $100.

Annual Photo Contest Details:
• Theme: Flamingo Gardens’ Macro Photography
• Application/Digital Art File Submission Deadline: December 1, 2023, at 4:30pm.
• No entry fee to participate.
• Each photographer may submit up to three (3) photos for consideration.
• Images should be submitted in a high-resolution, jpeg format.
• Selected photos must be framed according to the specifications on the submission form.
