Event Description
Uncover the amazing beauty, magnificent wonder and fascinating scientific stories of our planet Earth as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day at Frost Science. Honoring the international theme for Earth Day, Climate Action, guests are invited to discover the triumphs and challenges faced by the national parks in our own backyard with Everglades National Park and Biscayne National Park.
Connect with students from the Frost Science Upward Bound Math and Science Center for special presentations as they share their ideas for tackling local environmental challenges before joining them for an afternoon volunteer clean-up of nearby landscapes. Dive into the science behind Climate Action with hands-on science activities covering the topics of sea level rise, paleoclimatology and more. Finish your day by completing a nature trail at the museum and learning about how you can give back to planet Earth
