ORCHESTRA MIAMI: DISCOVER MIAMI THROUGH MUSIC AT THE CORAL GABLES WOMAN’S CLUB

Celebrate the achievements of four incredible female composers in the beautiful environs of the historic Coral Gables Woman’s Club. Discover Miami through Music allows us to learn more about our collective history, and each other, through concerts performed in our landmarks and places of historic interest. The program features music by four women composers- Romance for Violin & Piano Op. 23 by American composer & pianist Amy Marcy Beach, Piano Quintet N. 2 in E Major, Op. 31 by French composer and pianist Louise Farrenc, Quintet Coral Gables native and first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, and Slow Burn by contemporary composer, violist and educator Jessica Meyer. HISTORY OF DIVING MUSEUM: DIVING IN POP CULTURE

Visit the Museum to see representations of diving in literature, advertising, film, television, games, music, attractions, collectibles, and more, while examining connections amongst these works.
