Great discovery! Dave Pollot is a New York based artist who is known for his altered thrift art paintings. Exhibited at: Red Dot Miami
Curator’s Statement
What an intriguing artwork positioning portraits of Warhol and Basquiat, the artists whose bromance highlighted the 80’s… Ricardo Cardenas is a genuine and original creator. Cardenas reinterprets as a poster or street graffiti the main traits of the art from a chosen master artist, using as his canvas the cement and iron bars characteristic of his work on which he will paint and also add collage. But in his artwork, Cardenas brings his interpretation to his media and technique, as well as to our present time.

A very impressive painting by Bo Bartlett, an American realist with a modernist vision. Bartlett looks at America’s heart—its land and its people—and describes the beauty he finds in everyday life. His paintings celebrate the underlying epic nature of the commonplace and the personal significance of the extraordinary. Large scale, great composition, and highly symbolic this picture will not leave anybody indifferent for sure.

Jason Newsted is not only a six-time Grammy winning rock and roll hall of fame artist and a musical legend, but he has painted all his life, and his colorful and intricate works tell his story and our stories, inspired by music. Jason Newsted loves to use colors in an energetic manner, with any kind of material, even ones found objects and tape. All that turns out to become narrative, often using written words and sometimes hiding the messages on top of each other, while mixing them with multi layers of animated characters. This diptych is a perfect example.
The imprint, 2010
By Niloufar BANISADR
Size: 118 x 98 inches
Medium Used: Archival museum print on baryta paper on aluminium sheet.
Price: $40,000 - 55,000
Presenting Gallery: 55Bellechasse
Exhibited at:
Sagamore / FRAMEXPERIENCE
Curator’s Statement
Niloufar Banisadr defines her creation as conceptual, narrative, contrasting, harmonious and aesthetic, notably working on the intimate relation between textiles and women. This amazing installation is in fact a self-portrait, the Iranian photographer has been engaging in self-portraits for 20 years. Here, body prints in towels. It is a wall of nudes but you cannot see the nude, as it is intimately printed within the textile. It names the colors and emotions of love. As Niloufar constantly toys with appearances and manipulations, her eyes on photographs convey a powerful emotion as they seem to shift appearances. Niloufar has been playing with figurative and abstract byways to avoid simplicity or « populism » in her more political works.
