GMCVB programs extended

GMCVB programs extended

TAGS: Food Museum Art

2020 has been a rough year! The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) made it better by announcing the extension of three active programs - Miami Spice Months, Miami Spa Months and Miami Attraction & Museum Offers.

The programs will now go through October 31st, enabling Miamians and visitors to enjoy dining, pampering and cultural experiences, while helping business and organizations generate revenue and support jobs in a safe and responsible way.

The three programs are integral parts of Miami Shines, a comprehensive travel and tourism recovery program to promote Greater Miami and the Beaches to locals, encouraging vacationing in their backyard. The program includes a strong lineup of promotional incentives across restaurants, hotels, spas, museums and attractions, and was rolled out as a phased approach in line with the County’s parameters for reopening.

“With our vibrant destination gaining some semblance of normalcy, we heard from our partners and the public that they shared a desire to continue this programming,” said William D. Talbert, III, CDME, President & CEO of the GMCVB. “Between Miami Spice, Spa offers, hotel offers and Attraction & Museum benefits, there are endless safe and fun things to do, and above all is the potential this has to bolster the hospitality industry and its constituents. The GMCVB will never stop finding ways to help Miamians navigate through the rapidly changing situations of the past several months.”

Miami Spice

The beloved program is in its 19th year and was originally extended to last four months, and quickly pivoted over the duration to support new ways to dine. There are three ways to enjoy the program – indoor dining, outdoor dining, and to-go – each featuring prix-fixe meals with an appetizer, main course and dessert for $25 lunch/brunch and $39 dinner. The new Miami Spice options complement the existing and award-winning Miami Eats program developed by the GMCVB in April when local restaurants experienced their first wave of closures. More information and participants can be found at www.MiamiShines.com/MiamiSpice.

Miami Spa Months

Now in its 13th year, the program is the second-longest running within the Miami Temptations series, celebrated for highlighting the world-class spas and wellness facilities across Miami and the Beaches, many of which rank among the "Best Spas in America.” The promotion offers up to 50 percent off treatments, giving access to things like lymphatic therapy, prenatal and couples’ massages, and med spa treatments such as acupuncture detoxes, starting at $109. Full details and a list of participants are available at www.MiamiShines.com/MiamiSpa.

Miami Attraction & Museum Offers

Miami and the Beaches has flourished into one of America’s premier cultural destinations – now easier and more affordable for locals and visitors to experience than ever. Families, couples and culture-seekers can experience unique attractions and museums, with several allowing for outdoor exploration, all at special discounts. Some examples include admission to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, membership discounts at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, savings at the Deering Estate and Pinecrest Gardens, in addition to boating tours and kayak paddle board and bike rentals. More information can be found on www.MiamiShines.com/AttractionsMuseums.

Next up for the GMCVB is Arts, Culture & Heritage Months, which celebrates the destination’s rich culture and diverse neighborhoods from December through January. Specific programming details will be shared at a later date.

All participating partners have been thoroughly vetted by GMCVB to adhere to CDC and Miami-Dade guidelines. Further information on the GMCVB’s response efforts and updates related to COVID-19 is available for the public and members via its website at www.GMCVB.com
