Ambiance
Imagine a modern, yet casual, design with panoramic views of the Atlantic. Contemporary, circular lighting fixtures overhead create an intimate atmosphere for patrons, as they dine in comfortable chairs in the carpeted dining area. For over a decade, 3030 has been a fixture of fine dining in South Florida, renowned for sophisticated seafood and rustic American cuisine. Even though we visited on a Tuesday night, there was a full house of patrons, a testimony to 3030’s distinguished reputation. The establishment features a creative, contemporary assortment of fresh seafood, prime meats, and locally sourced ingredients, exquisitely prepared and presented. New menus are printed daily to reflect the availability of the freshest selections. The wait staff is the epitome of efficiency and professionalism. Not only was our server, Ricardo, extremely knowledgeable, his humor also made our dining experience that much more memorable. 3030’s Executive Chef, Paula DaSilva, has received national attention since her star turn in Gordon Ramsay’s reality cooking show, “Hell’s Kitchen.” DaSilva is known for her farm-to-fork philosophy and constant efforts to source the best local ingredients available, a commitment we can definitely attest to after our recent visit!
Things we tried
Playing with Fire:
We decided to get things started with a few drinks to whet the appetite and our choice definitely got things off to a great start. This delish concoction is a mixture of house infused fresh jalapeño, cabo wabo tequila, agave, and cucumber. You’ll be playing with fire as you’re tempted to keep these flavorful drinks flowing, glass after glass.
Sea Bar:
Wianno Oysters
These Massachusetts delicacies really hit the spot, served on ice, and presented on a metal plate with a baby bottle of tabasco.
Gulf Shrimp Cocktail
Talk about ultra-fresh! You can relish the creamy goodness. And the shrimp are huge!
Ahi Tuna Ceviche
A mouth-watering combination of Sushi grade tuna, cilantro, jalapeño, aji Amarillo, red onion, lime, and olive oil.
Starters
Roasted Corvina
This main dish is comprised of local corn and heirloom beans, succotash, garlic yucca fries, marcona, and almond romesco. Flaky and fabulous.
Palmetto Creek Farms Pork Loin Chop
This double cut was perfectly cooked, with an outer char. The dish is served on lemony, garlic seasoned greens, with brussel sprouts, anson mills polenta, and mango chutney. Even though 3030 is a Seafood restaurant at heart, the Chef really showed her skills with the pork chops and you could definitely feel the love in every bite.
Desserts
Chocolate Mousse
Can you say decadent? We definitely enjoyed this silky blend of crunchy peanut butter crust and hazelnut ice cream, coated in thick caramel.
Meyer Lemon Bar
Our fave was this delightful treat served with pink, cara cara oranges, sesame brittle, and mandarin sherbert. The perfect way to cap off this adventure.
