Foodie Diaries - Brava! – Adrienne Arsht Center

AMBIANCE

There’s nothing like an afternoon or evening of theater for an enriching cultural experience. And what better way to complement the occasion than with the perfect dining ambiance? BRAVA! is conveniently located on the second floor of the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center for pre-show dining. Patrons can relax and enjoy their meals without having to worry about missing a single minute of their theatrical adventure. The atmosphere is sleek and elegant, featuring plush seating, white linen table cloths, 3D flower murals, modern lighting fixtures, and an open floor plan, with views of the surrounding downtown area. We couldn’t wait to take our seats and let the culinary tour de force begin!

THINGS WE TRIED

DRINKS

The Pear Martini
What better overture to the show than this fabulous blend of Grey Goose La Poire Vodka, Disaronno Amaretto, Pear Nectar, and Sweet & Sour mix? Needless to say, we were definitely primed for the first act!

FIRST COURSE SELECTIONS

Tomato Mozzarella Salad This delightful dish combines red and yellow heirloom tomatoes, layered with fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, and micro greens. It’s as colorful as it is tasty, filled with soft, creamy deliciousness.

Fig & Fennel Salad If you’re seeking a flavorful, exotic mix, look no further! Arugula, fennel, grape tomatoes, candied walnuts, shaved Parmesan, and wedges of fresh figs in a pear vinaigrette all combine for an A-List performance.

A LA CARTE APPETIZERS

Crab, Artichoke & Spinach Dip This tasty platter has it all: jumbo lump crabmeat, fresh spinach and artichokes with Parmesan cheese, pita chips, and ciabatta crostini. It’s rich, melts in your mouth goodness meets decadence at its finest. OMG!

Seafood & Plantain Cocktail What could possibly top the previous act? How about this delish combo of chilled mixed seafood, and fresh salsa verde served in a warm plantain cup? We say, “Encore!”

ENTRÉE COURSE SELECTIONS

Chicken Fontina There’s no time for intermission with this scrumptious selection. Picture grilled chicken breast stuffed with Fontina cheese, spinach and wild mushrooms, accompanied by slow roasted cherry tomatoes and sautéed asparagus in a Perigourdine sauce. Tender, tasty, and Tony-worthy!

Pan Grilled Salmon Dijon We couldn’t get enough of this show-stopper, featuring fresh wild salmon served over creamy saffron polenta, with sautéed spinach and mango relish in a warm Dijon mustard sauce. Brava, indeed!

Pan Seared Yellowtail Snapper Talk about bringing the house down. What a fantastic plate, starring Key West yellowtail snapper, with co-stars haricots verts, tropical mango relish and herbed Jasmine rice in a saffron mango beurre blanc. No holding back the applause here!

Filet Mignon We adored this tender 6oz filet, topped with crispy sweet onions, served over truffle Yukon gold mashed potatoes in a garlic brown butter glaze. Can you say “Standing Ovation?”

DESSERTS

Chocolate Molten Lava Cake After that sumptuous experience, it was time to take a much deserved bow with this sinful chocolaty slice of warm, sweet heaven! Mmm. So good!

Pineapple Coconut Cake Speaking of break out stars. We just loved this unique treat made with grilled pineapple and coconut cake. Yum!
