The Beaux Arts Festival of Art takes place next January 16 and 17, 2016. Recognized nationally and internationally as one of the top outdoor exhibits of museum-quality art, the Festival highlights more than 200 of the finest juried artists in the country. More than 20,000 visitors annually enjoy the Festival on the grounds of the University of Miami, featuring art for all budgets, live entertainment, children’s art experiences and refreshments in a two-day fun, interactive fiesta that serves as the anchor fundraising project of the Beaux Arts organization since 1952. The Florida Keys Seafood Festival is a family friendly event showcasing the fresh local seafood from the area. This event is put on by the Florida Keys Commercial Fishermen's Association and helps to strengthen our fishing industry and provides scholarships to college bound students. It is a way to educate the community and the tourists that visit, the cultural heritage of our fishermen, while promoting sustainable seafood. Live music from local bands will entertain while you eat, and an array of nautical art and craft vendors will be on hand both days. A kids fun zone is also available with touch tanks and marine life exhibit's. $5.00 admission will enter each guest a chance to win $250 of local seafood ( one winner each day) Parking is provided at the Horace O' Bryant School at the end of Jose Marti Dr. and Virginia St. across from the park. A $5.00 fee helps the school with their projects.

Discover a world of chocolate throughout 83 acres complete with artisan chocolatiers, interactive chocolate making displays, sweet samples, and delicious cooking demos. After sampling delightful treats from dozens of lauded chocolatiers, learn how chocolate is produced from the seeds of the cacao plant (Theobroma cacao), an ancient crop from Central and South America. Take a ChocoWalk and stop by the interactive Living History of Cacao and Chocolate Tent to hear from horticulturists, scientists, and chefs about the rich and fascinating history of cacao, this year featuring the chocolate harvesting and production methods of Colombia. The Greater Miami Festivals & Events Association (GMFEA) is a not-for-profit corporation comprised of South Florida's major annual festivals. In 2013, the organization hosted its First Annual Conference & Exhibition, which sold out and received accolades from the event production community.
